Major catch-up

Well i have been non stop these last few weeks and i cant see it slowing down anytime soon LOL….

First up was Kaitlyn’s 10th birthday… i still cant believe that 10 years has gone by so fast… she is definitely growing up way too fast and as she told me she is now a “tween” lol just cause she is double figures….
here is the card i made her for her birthday…she was very impressed with it….

So this year cause it was a special birthday she decided to invite some friends from school and have a Halloween dress up party… it was so much fun… i searched everywhere for American orange pumpkins… finally found them and we set about carving our very own pumpkins… they actually came out pretty good…

then we all got dressed up and had a great party….Kaitlyn looked awesome in her Vampire dress with blood coming out of her mouth (not real of course LOL)_MG_8711

she loves getting dressed up and it was so good  that everyone else did as well (even me LOL)

she had a great night (even with the rain that hit which just added to the effect of the whole theme)…

So now that that is over I'm in to my long to do list… so much to get done in the next few weeks and alot of it is just for work… so if I'm a bit quiet around here you will know why….

ill leave you now with some recent colouring in that i have done (still addicted to my copics of course) and i also tried a new technique called cracked glass… really like this effect….

Mad For markers Scrapping Saturday

So again this week was time for another one of my scrapping posts over at Mad For Markers Blog… i decided to use the technique of colouring in my embellishments… love how you can do this with these pens…. i was very inspired to go back to the 8.5x11 size after going through albums and talking to the lovely Sherry Mendoza (who scraps this size all the time)…I'm so loving scrapping this size again… so here is my mad for markers post on their blog….

I so love how copics are so versatile and that you can now mix and match all your embellishments to go with what ever project your working on at the moment... this page I'm sharing with you today all of the embellishments on the page the ric rac, lace, flowers and pearls have all been coloured in to match my page... all i do now is buy white or clear embellishments and i can co ordinate them with my colours i am working with at the time... see so much easier....

Copics used: v09,yg23 and bg05

off to edit all the photos that were taken at Kaitlyn’s Halloween party last night… she had a great time and will share all very soon

Mad For Markers Saturday

Well its that time again for my post over at Mad For Markers Scrapping Saturday… I'm having so much fun being on this design team… love creating my scrappy layouts using my copic pens (they aren't just for cards LOL)… so make sure you go and check out Mad For Markers Sammi the owner is awesome with excellent customer service and the best site around for copics….

Last Friday night i went off to Sammi's house for CA (copics anonymous LOL) and she taught me this cool fun technique using copic ink and dettol hand sanitizer... since i don't have any refill inks at the moment i decided to try using my pens as they were... using a tissue i coloured it in with a blue (B97) i then added the hand sanitizer on top of the tissue where i had coloured it in with the pen and dabbed the tissue onto my copic paper....as you can see on my page this is the technique i used to colour in the clouds...if you are going to try this technique just remember to add the pen first not the hand sanitizer you don't want to ruin your pens....keep doing this till you get the desired effect....

here is my page i did i have also cut out the sun and coloured it in also using YR20,23 and YR02,04

2 sketchabilities reveals

so have been a bit slack lately and have totally forgot to share with you my 2 sketches reveals for sketchabilities..

the first one – some of us DT girls got to design our pages using the cool vinyl stickers from EAD Designs… these were so much fun and how cool was it that without even asking me they sent me stickers of little red riding hood….just so happens that kaitlyn was little red riding hood so it was so much fun designing this page around those stickers and with a fun sketch to go with it what more could i want
