Learning to crochet

So I've been in a bit of a scrapping slump lately it's like I just can't scrap at all. So instead I've been busy doing other things.

I've started knitting a scarf which is going well (just takes me a long time to complete lol).

And now this week I've even impressed myself by teaching myself to crochet and I'm having so much fun.. Crocheting seems to work out faster then knitting which is probably why I like it a lot more. I'm in the middle of completing a crochet blanket ( or small lap rug I should say) 

This is just the first strip . I'm lucky spotlight has a sale on wool at the moment lol I went and stocked up ready to go. Lucky it's winter (1st day today) and I can snuggle on the lounge and crochet.

I've also been crocheting other things. I am getting the art of crochet magazine which is teaching me lots of different stitches so I'm also trying to complete the blanket out of the mag this is the pic of my first square

So that's what I've been up to lately having fun learning new things...

National Scrapbooking Day challenge #2

Well i was on a roll so i started another challenge and I'm very happy with how this one turned out…this challenge was to scrap a normal scrapbook page but using project life style (which reminds me how far behind i am on my normal project life UMMM MAAA lol)

Happy National Scrapbooking Day

Well its national scrapbooking day today so i thought i would do some scrapping for myself for a change… i found over on this awesome site Scrapbook Generations they were having some fun challenges so i thought i would join in…

this challenge was perfect for these photos that we took on our trip over a year ago to Forbes…we got to go to Parkes where we saw the giant telescope…it was amazing to see up close how big it was…

Look at what i made

or should i say my hubby made LOL…. i did the decorating and he did the putting it together for me and i love how it has turned out…

This is my new Kaiser desk caddy… it holds so much stuff and it means i get more stuff off my desk so more room for me to create and mess up lol…

Love how this has turned out and its so good as it has a lazy Susan base which allows it to turn around 360 degrees so no having to get up and get things i need its all now in arms reach for me…

Not a lot else has happened lately, I'm a bit behind in my PJL but trying hard to catch up i think I'm 3 weeks behind now but planning on getting it done soon (or tonight if i can)… ill try and share pics of my pages soon.

I've also been busy with work stuff making samples for an upcoming show we are going to and ill be demoing copics of course… just need to make up a few more samples for this and its only next weekend… so i best get moving with them… nothing like leaving things to the last minute as usual…
