A little update from me…

So it is my most fav time of the year…. December and Summer is finally here and I'm loving it… although very busy right now with my new job and all i have still found time to sit down and relax and do some crocheting etc… not a lot of scrapping has been done just mainly my crocheting which I'm completely hooked on now…. here is some recent squares i made for a swap group i am in… loving getting these granny squares from all over the world

this set was sent to Canada…..                    this set is the ones i sent to USA….

We are in the process of sending out and receiving our Secret Santa swaps… mine has been sent just waiting on one for me to arrive…

I have nearly finished a blanket i am making for my nana who will turn 88 on Friday… cant wait to finish it for her….will post pics once it is complete…

So apart from that not a lot has been happening….as i said i got a new job and started at the end of October.. i now work for Bunnings which is great fun and I'm learning so much (totally different then anything i have done before)… but it is so good going into work when you start and leaving when you finish and not bringing work home with me… the people i work with/for are wonderful and friendly which is a great change from where i was before….

So as i said at the beginning its Christmas time my favourite time of the year so of course that means i have decorated our house again… each year i seem to get more and more lol… here are a few pics (that my mum requested LOL)…

                                       

So that is just a few pics of the house… as you can see lots of handmade items this year in our house by my very talented mum… the wall hanging, stockings, placemats and table runner all made by my mum…

and our little elf Charlie has made many appearances so far this year… up to his usual trouble he gets himself into… can you see him in the star photo and snuggling up to the baby in the Santa photo…. wonder what he will get up to next…

ok off to finish off my nans blanket just the edging to go and its done….

Forgot to share

I also forgot to share on Sunday at the team training day we had a competition.. We had to use Kaszazz products as well as the new stamp just released Elegant Annie… I am happy to say that i received 2nd place for my entry…

I received a lovely pack of all the gorgeous new papers to play with so I'm sure you will be seeing lots of fun projects soon using them

Kaszazz New Products

On Sunday i had the pleasure of attending my first ever Team Training Day for Kaszazz… This was such a fun day where they released lots of gorgeous new products…We all got to play with the new products and received an awesome goodie bag filled with lots of the new items… The new papers are just gorgeous with a beautiful shine to them…This range was a new one for Kaszazz being an invitational release…such beautiful items to make up invitations for that special occasion. This is the set of invites we made up on the day…

This range comes in silver and gold and can be inked (paper is like a resist paper) so can be coordinated for any occasion….

This was the whole set including invite, rsvp , thank you card, name card for table and save the date…

Kaszazz also released some other gorgeous products including some new embossing folders that we were lucky to receive 2 of them for our own personal use… first one was a Christmas bauble which looks stunning on the silver card and coloured with the alcohol markers… just need to add a stamped sentiment to this one…

and the other embossing folder we received was a gorgeous damask… this looks great on this wedding card again using the silver paper….

It was such a fun day loved meeting all the girls that are apart of the team that i am in…

So as far as my own scrapping goes i have just finished making my daughters 13th (yes i know I'm going to be a mum of a teenager ahhhhh LOL) birthday invites… her nickname has always been Kat so she insisted on them having a cat on it somewhere… these are very simple and quick but i love how they turned out….

ok well i have a few crocheting projects to get finished…

Motivation needed

Well it seems my mojo and inspiration has disappeared again…I'm hoping that it returns very soon… maybe i need to buy some new products LOL (shhh don't tell my husband i said that)…but i keep on looking at the Kaszazz catalogue and just want it all… so ill be putting in an order very soon for some yummy new goodies…

So while my mojo is missing I have been doing a lot of crocheting… i finally managed to finish off my first ever crocheted blanket…so proud of myself for finally completing a project and also for teaching myself to crochet… its actually not as hard as i thought it would be…

Very happy with how it looks… and hubby was very surprised i actually got it finished (so many UFO’s in this house LOL)….

Now i am on to my next crochet project… but i cant share yet as its a gift for someone…

Well where do i start…

So much has happened since I was last here I just don't know where to start….

Well a lot has happened some that i wont go in to on here but my little family has pulled through it all and we are on the other side of that…

But the last 2 weeks has been a huge whirlwind again… Firstly I was let go at my job a job that I was at for 3 years…but in the end I have decided that it was the best thing for me. I have moved on and I have gotten my normal self back again where I am happy and loving life right now. I am still out of work and still looking for something part time but I'm thinking positive at the moment that something will come along soon for me.

But on that note something that is exciting for me is that I am now starting my own business. I needed something for me and something that still lets me have my creative outlet… So I have just recently joined up to be a Kaszazz Consultant. OMG their stuff is gorgeous. I had only heard of this company in the last few years but never really looked at their stuff thinking it was just another normal party plan type company. But man was i wrong. All the usual scrapbook stuff that i use all the time this awesome company sells…. so so much potential in what i can do with it all… and one of the best things ever they sell TIM HOLTZ products…. wooohooo (it means i get to use all those yummy inks and pens and paints..) annnndddd they also sell another favourite product of mine Dylusion sprays woohoo… so yes as you can see i am in my element right now…. Learning to crochet

So I've been in a bit of a scrapping slump lately it's like I just can't scrap at all. So instead I've been busy doing other things.

I've started knitting a scarf which is going well (just takes me a long time to complete lol).

And now this week I've even impressed myself by teaching myself to crochet and I'm having so much fun.. Crocheting seems to work out faster then knitting which is probably why I like it a lot more. I'm in the middle of completing a crochet blanket ( or small lap rug I should say) 

This is just the first strip . I'm lucky spotlight has a sale on wool at the moment lol I went and stocked up ready to go. Lucky it's winter (1st day today) and I can snuggle on the lounge and crochet.

I've also been crocheting other things. I am getting the art of crochet magazine which is teaching me lots of different stitches so I'm also trying to complete the blanket out of the mag this is the pic of my first square

So that's what I've been up to lately having fun learning new things...

Happy National Scrapbooking Day

Well its national scrapbooking day today so i thought i would do some scrapping for myself for a change… i found over on this awesome site Scrapbook Generations they were having some fun challenges so i thought i would join in…

Look at what i made

or should i say my hubby made LOL…. i did the decorating and he did the putting it together for me and i love how it has turned out…

This is my new Kaiser desk caddy… it holds so much stuff and it means i get more stuff off my desk so more room for me to create and mess up lol…

Love how this has turned out and its so good as it has a lazy Susan base which allows it to turn around 360 degrees so no having to get up and get things i need its all now in arms reach for me…

Not a lot else has happened lately, I'm a bit behind in my PJL but trying hard to catch up i think I'm 3 weeks behind now but planning on getting it done soon (or tonight if i can)… ill try and share pics of my pages soon.

I've also been busy with work stuff making samples for an upcoming show we are going to and ill be demoing copics of course… just need to make up a few more samples for this and its only next weekend… so i best get moving with them… nothing like leaving things to the last minute as usual…

High School

I totally forgot to update and tell you all about Kaitlyn and High School…

So she has finally started high school and she is loving it…its good that she has gone to a school with most of her close friends which makes it so much easier for her… she is loving all her classes and is settling in well with having to deal with different classes and changing all the time (she has only gotten lost twice LOL)… homework is another thing which we need to get in a routine with… so much more this year and trying to get her to do it on time is a struggle lol…. oh the packing of her school bag each night we just wont go into that LOL….

She looks so grown up in her school uniform… my little girl so big now….
But she is doing well bringing home two certificates already…very proud of my girl and i really hope that the enthusiasm lasts..

ok the day is very overcast so its scrapping time for me trying to catch up with my project life which ill take some pics soon and update that as well… only 3 weeks behind now ….

Being Creative…

Well I'm trying to be creative again… I've been in a big slump at the moment and just cant seem to get motivated to do anything… i really need to create so i thought i would show you what I'm trying to get done and what is sitting on my desk right now…

This made me have a jump start today so thought i would join in again with Kellie on her blog and share my current creative thing I'm doing…

at present I'm trying to make these golden books (didn't we all read these when we were little i know i did i had heaps of them)… what I'm doing is actually turning these golden books into little notebooks by pulling them apart and rebinding them with note paper inside… these are for my mum and her friends…only problem is i have ruined 2 books so far so must go and get some more to complete them…hopefully ill have no more problems with them LOL…

ok so hopefully this little creative jump will start my mojo going again… i did get some pics printed today to catch up with project life which I'm afraid to say I'm 4 weeks behind… but hope to get caught up this weekend…wish me luck…

Creating

So i have been reading lots of blogs lately and I'm loving all the inspiration that is out there… one girl who i love following and love her style is Kellie (the gorgeous girl who redid my blog makeover). She is doing a What are you creating right now post on her blog so i thought i would join in this week….go and check out her blog for more info….

So this is what I'm doing right now… trying to get week 3 of my pjl album done…I'm loving the process of this type of album and I've also started Kaitlyn’s school album in this same style (must take some photos of that soon too).. so this is what my desk looks like right now…

photos are printed and now to just decide on a layout for them all then I'm off to create…

ok best get to it kaitlyn has a few friends over today for a girly catch-up before they all start high school on Wednesday (still cant believe my baby is in high school now )

Scrapping

Well this year since i have not got many commitments i thought i would give some challenges ago… here is my first one for this year using the Stuck Sketches Jan 1st sketch…quite loving getting back into the sketches very inspiring to get pages done in my wedding album since its been nearly 12 months since our wedding…

so here is another page to add to it… these photos were taken as part of our pre wedding shoot…life is definitely very good with this guy…

Week 2 complete…

I'm surprising even myself at how i have been keeping up with project life and blogging LOL… so here i am to share my week 2 of project life…

Still loving the style i have chosen this year its working really well with the photos that i have been taking (very addicted to instagram etc) so its very easy to complete each weeks photos and layout this way…

been using my cameo a lot with project life i can add lots of little details by just cutting it out on my cameo… so so easy and happy that i have one of these machines to do things like this…

School holidays are still going on…not a lot happening though very quiet while its hot outside…

Project Life Week One

Well it seems the blogging bug has hit me again and here i am sharing my project life week one page…

I'm really loving how this is turning out and totally loving the process of creating each little square…

so many ideas i have for all these pages and i have even been really good at keeping up with a photo a day… totally surprised myself with that one…. but hey we are only into week 2 of the new year lol… maybe in 6 months time we will see where I'm at with it all…

so other then that not alot has been happening… school holidays are still going strong and we finally have our gorgeous girl back home with us… been very quiet without her around but she has only been home a few hours and already it looks like she never left LOL…

off to do some creating and dinner (well i have to eat sometime LOL)

Christmas and New Years catch up

Well since today is the last day of my holidays i thought i would catch up on some blogging and photos of Christmas Day and New Years….

Kaitlyn is at present off at her fathers for a week so the house is pretty quiet at the moment and we are missing her heaps… the weather has been awesome with the heat so that we have had a lot of use out of the pool (well kaitlyn has LOL in it everyday)….

So thought i would just document my Christmas and new years we had a great time very quiet but it was still nice sitting and enjoying time with my family…

Then there was new years eve… we just had a quiet night at home this year (oh who am i kidding we have a quiet night home every year LOL)… Kaitlyn spent some time in the pool, we watched the fire works on TV then at midnight we used up the rest of the sparklers we had left over from our wedding…a nice night with my gorgeous family to bring in the new year….

On the scrapping front I've decided that this year I'm going to commit myself to doing project life… i started this type of scrapping in 2011 but didn't get it finished and with a busy year last year decided not to even try it…. with lots of my commitments finished i thought this year will be my year to get it done… so far so good on the photo side of things with a new app on my phone that i found which reminds me to take a photo so that's a good start…. and i did get my title page done which i had to redo LOL just didn't quite like the first one but i am so so happy with how I'm going to do project life this year….

I'm using the new WRMK 12x12 Grey album different colour for me but i goes really well with my other albums and I've decided to use the WRMK 4x4 pocket page inserts for this years album… loving how this has turned out… lots of inspiration over at the Australian Project life group that i joined on Facebook….

so there you have it lets hope i can keep it going and hope to keep updating this gorgeous new blog of mine….ok off to do some creating with my silhouette machine…

A new year and a New Blog Look

As you can probably see i have had a major blog makeover by the very talented Kellie Winnell… I so love this fresh new look and I'm hoping that this will make me blog more often this year… Thanks again Kellie for doing this for me i still totally love it all….

Well it is now officially 2013…another year has come and gone and i am seeing lots of people blogging their top 10 fav items they made so i thought what a great idea I'm going to do that also….

#1 My first page in my wedding album… loved this photo of the 2 of us…

#2 Love how this one turned out of my gorgeous little niece photo was taken again at my wedding…

#3 Kaitlyn has really gotten in to taking photos this year especially with instagram love that i get to have lots of self portraits of her now that she is doing this…

 

#4 This was a pre engagement photo shoot we had done. Love the colours i chose for this page…

 

#5 I had a lot of fun this year making up kits to sell at Fantasia Scrapbook shop.. actually designing without photos was quite fun and easier then i thought.

 

#6 I started doing this mini album for kaitlyn using the fun Simple stories products… definitely a work in progress LOL but love how the cover came out.

 

#7 my new storage draws ready for me to tackle project life tis year lets hope i can keep at it…

#8 i really got into smash booking this year another work in progress book…

#9 I really got into my card making and stamping this year… a new fav stamp company of my Just Rite stamps…

 

#10 I have a thing for note books or should i say an obsession LOL but i always love a covered notebook sitting on my desk…
